Rochester Area School District provides transition services for all students with IEP’s ages 14-21. The transition goals are for post-secondary education and training, employment and independent living skills. Those goals are fulfilled through the transition program. Career exploration and skill building in math and reading using the Keys 2 Work program is the focus for 8th and 9th graders. The opportunities for transition services for 9-12 graders include: service learning, college/technical school visits, job shadowing, school wide career day, National Mentoring Day, and Keys to Work. |
