College in High School (CHS) Courses

Rochester Area High School currently offers seven College in High School (CHS) courses. These classes are taught on campus during the regular school day by our highly qualified instructors. Students earn college credit upon successful completion of the coursework. Some courses, such as CHS Chemistry, may require students to attend occasional labs or lectures at the partnering university.

We are proud to share that the University of Pittsburgh has approved our Biology course as a three-credit CHS offering for the 2020–2021 school year.

CCBC High School Academies

Through a partnership with the Community College of Beaver County (CCBC), eligible juniors and seniors can enroll in one of five specialized academies, earning up to 28 college credits while still in high school.

Beaver County Career and Technology Center (BCCTC)

The Beaver County Career and Technology Center (BCCTC) serves as an extension of local school districts, offering hands-on training in a wide range of vocational and technical fields for students in grades 10–12. Programs are designed to equip students with practical skills and industry-recognized certifications.
