Flexible Instruction Day (FID)
Throughout the school year, the Rochester Area School District may need to designate a Flexible Instructional Day (FID) due to weather or other circumstances that prevent students and staff from being in the building.
An FID may be announced ahead of time or decided on the day itself. Notifications will be sent through our mass communication system, website, social media channels, and local news outlets.
On an FID for Rochester Area High School, students are expected to participate virtually in all their classes according to the regular middle and high school schedule. To accommodate the nature of the day, learning will include both asynchronous activities and synchronous, live instruction.
