Since 1988, the Teen Leadership Corps (TLC) has been in existence in conjunction with the Prevention Network. The students represent a cross section of the school district’s population. Leadership potential is considered in the selection of all students who apply for membership. Students must make a commitment to attend meetings after school and any training offered in the summer or on weekends. Most importantly, students are asked to show their dedication and commitment to TLC by signing a pledge to:
Remain free of alcohol and other drug uses
Educate themselves, their parents and peers about the danger of alcohol and other drug use
Encourage others to deal with their problems without the use of alcohol or other drugs
