Cleaning Apple Wireless or USB Keyboards, Mice, and Trackpads

  1. Power Off and Disconnect:
Turn off your device. If it uses removable batteries, remove them. For wired devices, simply unplug them from your computer.

  2. Cleaning the Exterior:
Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water to clean the outside surfaces. Avoid getting moisture in any openings. Do not use aerosol sprays, solvents, abrasives, or cleaners containing hydrogen peroxide.

  3. Magic Mouse Tracking Issues:
If your Magic Mouse or Magic Mouse 2 isn’t tracking properly, debris like hair might be on the sensor lens.

    • Turn the mouse over and examine the sensor window under a bright light.

    • If you spot debris, gently clean the sensor window using compressed air.
