Cleaning Apple Wireless or USB Keyboards, Mice, and Trackpads
-
Power Off and Disconnect:
Turn off your device. If it uses removable batteries, remove them. For wired devices, simply unplug them from your computer. -
Cleaning the Exterior:
Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water to clean the outside surfaces. Avoid getting moisture in any openings. Do not use aerosol sprays, solvents, abrasives, or cleaners containing hydrogen peroxide. -
Magic Mouse Tracking Issues:
If your Magic Mouse or Magic Mouse 2 isn’t tracking properly, debris like hair might be on the sensor lens.-
Turn the mouse over and examine the sensor window under a bright light.
-
If you spot debris, gently clean the sensor window using compressed air.
