Cleaning Your Mac Pro, Mac mini, and iMac
-
Power Down and Unplug:
Shut down your Mac and disconnect the power cord along with any other connected devices. -
Exterior Cleaning:
Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to gently clean the exterior surfaces. Avoid letting moisture enter any openings. Never spray liquids directly onto the computer. Do not use aerosol sprays, solvents, abrasives, or cleaners containing hydrogen peroxide, as these may damage the finish. -
Display Cleaning (iMac):
Use the cloth that came with your iMac or another clean, soft, lint-free cloth dampened with water only to wipe the screen.
Do not use cleaners containing acetone. Instead, use cleaners specifically designed for screens or displays.
Never spray cleaner directly onto the screen, as it can drip inside and cause damage.
