District Announcements
Student Safety

Please be advised of a hoax going around our area. Many people have reported that area schools have been on lock-down because of clowns coming out of the woods, following children, and staring into classrooms. We have spoken to both the Rochester Township Police Chief and the Rochester Borough Police Chief. Neither has received a report of any incident occurring in our borough or township.

We take your child's safety seriously at our schools. We will continue to keep all exterior doors locked. All visitors must present a photo ID and enter the building through the main entrance on Virginia Avenue.

Please speak with your children about traveling in pairs and what to do if approached by a stranger - one dressed in street clothes or a clown suit.

Please don't hesitate to contact the school if you have any concerns

As a reminder, students are to enter the building through the Main Entrance on Virginia Avenue. Parents, if you are driving your students to school, you are permitted to park along Reno Street. In addition, new this year, we have reserved the parking lot at the corner of Virginia Avenue and Reno Street for parents and visitors. Please feel free to park here! The signs currently read "Reserved Parking." They will be changed shortly to read "Substitute Teacher and Visitor Parking."
Bus students, the Bus Schedule has been posted on our website. Parents, buses may be a little late towards the begins of the year because both the drivers are learning their routes. If you have compliments, concerns, or complaints, please email them to bus@rasd.org. For bus emergencies, the RASD bus emergency number is 724-462-7262.
